Do You Have Poor Credit?

Do you have bad credit? Are you tired of the hassle of not having a credit card? Poor credit credit cards can give you the luxury of a credit card without a good credit score.

Without a credit card, it’s next to impossible to do a lot of things that are a big part of life. Reserving a hotel room, renting a car, or even buying something online are all examples of things that basically require a credit card. Fewer and fewer places will accept personal checks, so, if you have bad credit, you are left with no alternatives. But bad credit doesn’t have to automatically preclude you from the convenience of having a credit card.

The options for poor credit credit cards in today’s competitive market abound. These cards serve a dual purpose—they give people with bad credit the convenience of having a credit card while also allowing them to begin rebuilding their credit. It’s probably not news to you that you have to use credit in order to rebuild your credit. Poor credit credit cards make this process easier than ever.

Before you decide on a poor credit credit card, you’ll want to know what your options are. There are several different types of poor credit credit cards, which will all be discussed in what follows. You can also see the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about poor credit credit cards on the “FAQ’s” page.

Prepaid Credit Cards

These cards are basically debit cards in a different form. With these cards, your credit limit is determined by the amount of money you deposit into the account when you open it. Technically, the financial institution does not issue you any credit because it is your money from the start. When you make purchases, the money is debited from the funds you originally put on the card. Once you run out of funds, you cannot use your card until you reload the card, meaning you deposit funds into the account. The advantages of this card are that you do not have to deal with monthly bills, and you can never go over your deposit amount (or spending limit), as the card will not work. On the other hand, there are also several disadvantages to prepaid credit cards. For one, these cards typically cannot be used to rent cars or reserve hotel rooms. They also will not help rebuild your credit because banks don’t report these cards to credit bureaus, since no credit has really been issued.
